Every year there is a reenactment at Perryville Battlefield in central Kentucky. Every fifth year this reenactment is the Western National and draws soldiers from all over the country. The unusual thing about the Perryville reenactments is that it is one of the very few sites where reenactments are held on the actual ground of the battle. This makes for a great privilege for reenactors and spectators alike.
